UC Berkeley's Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies opens its 2004-05 season with the world premiere of Disaster Series - The Continuation, choreographed, written, and directed by Joe Goode. Recalling Goode's 1989 Disaster Series, Disaster Series - The Continuation frames a series of new episodes setting the intimate drama of human life against the epic sweep of natural disasters and the catastrophes we have perpetrated on nature. Special guest performer Liz Burritt of JGPG will be joined by a student cast of actors and dancers.

Disaster Series - The Continuation opens on October 8 at the Zellerbach Playhouse on the UC Berkeley campus (on Spieker Plaza near the intersection of Bancroft Way and Dana Street) and runs through October 17. Performance times are as follows: Oct. 8 (8pm), Oct. 9 (8pm), Oct. 10 (7pm), Oct. 15 (8pm), Oct. 16 (8pm), Oct. 17 (2pm).

Tickets prices are $14.00 general admission; $10.00 for UC faculty/staff; and $8.00 for students/seniors. Tickets may be purchased in-person at the Zellerbach Playhouse box office on Fridays from 1pm to 4pm. The box office also opens one hour prior to each performance for ticket sales.
