“If you're like me you think New Year's Eve is a hyped up holiday that never fails to disappoint. Who really wants to stand around with a noise maker and some cheap champagne and watch the ball drop? It's all about mandatory fun and feeling like you're really supposed to be somewhere else, isn't it? So break the cycle of misery and come see a fabulous show (mine, of course). All about celebrating how imperfect we are, how incomplete, how lost and never to be found. What better way to launch the new year? Or you could spend a bunch of money and go see a washed up house band from the eighties. Your choice. I think your money would be better spent supporting some real San Francisco innovators and getting some artistic bang for your buck. Oh yeah, and we might even throw in some cheap champagne and a noise maker.”
